Studio Printmakers' Collective

Pat Grove-Hills

I was born in England, where I qualified and practiced as an art specialist teacher.  I arrived in New Zealand in 1977, after several years of travelling: and became involved in architectural stained glass, and printmaking, winning two merit awards at the Philips Studio Glass Awards, and began etching under the tutorship of Carole Shepheard at The Auckland Society of Arts, using the printmaking skills in conjunction with the glass work.

I became an active member of The Association of Women Artists, being on the Policy group from 1989-1993.  A founding member of The Stables Printmakers Workshop, now known as Studio Printmakers Collective.  I have attended very many workshops with practising artists on various forms of printmaking.  My work has been exhibited in group exhibitions in New Zealand and in U.S.A., and I have work held in collections in New Zealand, U.S.A. and the UK.
